Job: I&E Technician - Deer Park, TX (EPRD)

Job Objective:
Troubleshoot, calibrate, maintain, and install plant instrumentation and
process analyzers. Perform maintenance programming on PLCs and basic
electrical work. Assist in general and preventative maintenance activities
with other technicians.

Essential Functions:

Interpret Instrument drawings, P&I.D.'s, and schematic wiring diagrams

Perform component calibrations, 3 point calibrations for 7 different
components

Function check instrument and test loops

Repair and maintain temperature, flow, level and pressure transmitters,
control valves, controllers, recorders, process, pH, and O2 analyzers

Troubleshoot all components (pneumatic, electronic, and radiation), flame
detectors, transformers, AC and DC motors and controllers and 3 wire
Start/Stop stations

Must have thorough knowledge of PLCs, hazardous location seals and
packing kits, high voltage switching, Single Phase 480-120/240 and Three
Phase 480-120/208

Must know how to use conduit bender, replace electrical fittings, use
test equipment such as Volt OHM milliamp meter (VOM) with leads, megger
with leads, hot stick, and remove couplings from motors

Perform other duties as assigned

Comply with all Environmental, Safety and Health policies and procedures

Education / Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED

Minimum 5 years petrochemical experience as an I&E Technician

Must have NCCER certification or equivalent.

Must have NCCER validation or equivalent.

Must have or meet requirements for a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).

Strong process analyzer skills preferred.

TDC-Honeywell 2000 and 3000 experience preferred.

Special Requirements:
Physical: Walking, driving, standing, lifting, sitting, carrying, pushing,
pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, fingering,
talking, hearing and seeing.  Must be able to enter confined spaces and
wear a respirator.
