Jobing Description

The Human Resources Assistant reports to the Human Resources Director and assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR Assistant will be primarily responsible for the administration of the Bank's Time and Attendance and Payroll system to include processing a semi-monthly payroll. Assists with recruitment and interview process.  Prepares new employee files and maintains HR filing system.  Submits on-line investigations requests to include pre-employment background checks, credit reports and drug screens.  Data entry for all personnel transactions such as new hires, terminations, benefit deductions, garnishments, etc. Preparation of HR and payroll related reports and maintains HRIS and Applicant flow logs.  Performs customer service functions by answering employee and potential employee's requests and questions. .Texas First Bank is Galveston County's largest, locally owned independent community bank. Skills / Requirements

*Appropriate college-level course work or certification is preferred.*At least 2 years of relevant Human Resources experience is highly preferred. Experience working with Time and Attendance, payroll processing and HRIS systems, ADP payroll preferred.  Excellent computer skills to include advanced skills with MS Office Excel and Word.  Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment*This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.*Candidates will be asked to provided authorization to perform a background and credit check.To begin the application process for this exciting position please submit your resume!
