The city of Houston is an incredible city with beautiful attractions, gorgeous redeveloped neighborhoods, incredible amenities, and well-preserved historic areas in many zip codes. There is so much in Houston to be proud of, and there is so much progress at which to marvel that it's easy to lose site of those areas that have been slower to receive these revitalization benefits, like the Fondren Southwest area. At Bethel’s Place, Fondren has not been forgotten. We believe in “Promoting Empowerment over Dependency” by providing relevant programming and focusing our efforts on helping to equip and empower the entire family. We serve in a community that never sleeps, so we have implemented a vision to develop the community and most importantly, its members. Our mission is to positively affect the lives of the people in our community by providing resources that are imperative to enhance their quality of life. By providing educational opportunities, youth enrichment, job training, job assistance, meal service, and senior outreach programs, Bethel's Place has positioned itself as a stabilizer for the Fondren Southwest community. Bethel's Place has had its roots in the Fondren Southwest area for over 13 years and we are diligently working to continue leading the way toward the stability that the Fondren community has enjoyed in the past.
