Profile: Career and Recovery Resources

Career and Recovery Resources, Inc. is a non-profit, United Way agency established in 1945. Our mission is to help people identify and overcome barriers to employment. We provide a wide array of services to a diverse population challenged by barriers such as older age, illiteracy, disabilities, homelessness, lack of skills, substance abuse, and at-risk behavior.

Our Employment Programs help individuals prepare for entry into the job market, identify employment opportunities, and learn job retention techniques. Career Counseling services offers educational and vocational guidance.

We also offer outpatient substance abuse treatment to adults which is licensed by the Department of State Health Services and drug education to elementary school children.
