Blog Post: Career Expo Update: New Date, Time, & Location!

If you plan on coming out the Jobing.com Career Expo, make sure you know about changes that have been made to the date and location. The Expo will be held at the Humble Civic Center on May 19th from 2PM - 6PM.

There are a couple of other things you want to keep in mind about the change in venue. First, parking is FREE (no longer will you be charged $7 by Reliant Park). You will also want to plan for traffic delays as the road that leads to the Humble Civic Center is a two-lane road and we anticipate a lot of job seekers will attend this event; map out your route in advance.

Make the most of your Expo experience by researching the companies attending and planning your approach. Make sure you bring several copies of your resume as well as a digital version on a flash drive for the resume review.

Get ready for the hiring event of the season! See you next week!

I'll Be There!!!! Still Unemployed and need a Job, have no unemployment compensation to offset the never ending bills! Hope this career fair is as great as it sounds, look forward to it.

This will be my first visit as well but i would like to know is if there will be opportunities for the felons.I have had no felonies or misdemeanors since 2004,but since then have not been givin a secound chance and im only 23.Hopefully the fair will benifit.

This post is in response to Richard Franks post of May 13, 2009. Richard, have you tried applying at the Houston Ship Channel? I have an ex sister-in-law whose son has a criminal record and he was hired at the Ship Channel. Good luck on your job search.
