*Contact friends, neighbors, clubs, etc.

*Keep job skills current; practice, practice, practice

*Advertise in your local newspaper

*Attend county meetings  (Hey, they’re free, open to the public and you never know who will be there!)

*Resume and business tri-folds are about the same thing ~ YOU

*Contact some of Jobing.com blog authors that relate to your profession

*Make first impressions count

*Think outside the box

*Take ownership….it’s your life

Some of the folks that contact me via “contact blog author” aren’t looking for jobs. They want to exchange ideas or just have a conversation with someone that is in the same profession they are in. I have a particular contact that just needs to have someone to bounce ideas off of.

Working for a company, working for your self and being a job seeker are very similar. Anyway you cut the pie, it’s a mission to shine.
