WYSIWYG (pronounced wiziwig, an acronym for What You See Is What You Get.
Don’t you wish you could put WYSIWGY on your forehead and be a human billboard? Being a job seeker is extremely stressful. You’re trying to set yourself apart from the others and convince the employer why they should hire you. A job seeker is a sales person selling themselves. And it can be confusing because sometimes the employer’s ad isn’t really what their looking for. The employer’s ad may read “looking for a self starter, goal oriented, go getter to advance the company”. Your resume shows all those points with an impressible track history. You get a call for the interview. At the interview you learn that the employer has all the ideas, the direction and basically needs someone to buy into it and join the troops. Or maybe your resume isn't showing what you are really looking for and you’re overlooked. Don’t you wish you and the employer could try the job for just a week to see if it fits? It’s hard to tell the potential of a job seeker as well as the employer during an interview. Both are looking for something, the connection that says WYSIWYG. A job is a relationship, with ups and downs and never goes as planned but if both sides know from the beginning, what you see is what you get, the ups and downs seem to flatten out. You’ve invested much in yourself and have much to offer. Stay true to yourself and be a WYSIWYG because there’s a WYSIWYG employer looking for you!
