Job: Director Health Information Management (Medical Records) - LA

Nearterm Corporation, a privately-held Texas corporation established to provide nationwide search and selection consultation exclusively to the Healthcare industry currently has an opportunity for a Hospital Director of Health Information Management (Medical Records).


This position is located in the Baton Rouge, LA area for a 150+ bed facility.


Responsibilities Include:


· Oversee all aspects of Medical Records, Coding, and Transcription.

· Supervise a staff of 20 FTEs.


Areas of responsibility are: Medical Records, Coding, Transcription


Hospital Director of Health Information Management (DHIM)


· RHIT/RHIA

· 3+ years Management experience, prefer someone with several years in the department.

· Experience deploying Health Information Management (HIM) applications

· Strong technical background

· Familiar with SoftMed/ QuadraMed/ Eclipsys is a BIG PLUS!

· Experience with archiving system.


Hospital experience is a must.
