Jobing Description
The mental health therapist will provide individual and family therapy within the context of the program model. The mental health therapist is responsible for the initial screening, interviewing and completing the admission process. Using motivational enhancement interviewing techniques, the mental health therapist will assist the client to process unresolved issues. In addition, the mental health therapist is responsible for documentation, preparing reports and other program related activities. This position will report to the program administrator.

• Conduct screening and initiate admission process with clients,
• Orient clients to program,
• Provide individual and/or group therapy to clients in office, as well as, non-traditional settings,
• Participate in treatment plan and case staffing at FUUSA, as well as, other referral sources,
• Provide a minimum of 20 hours of direct client services per week,
• Maintain case documentation compliance at 90% level,
• Complete and submit progress and activity reports as required,
• Conduct evaluation follow-up as assigned,
• Participate in the program’s quality assurance self-monitoring plan as assigned,
• Establish and maintain working relationship with community referral sources,
• In collaboration with the program director, develop plan to inform community of program services.
• Attend 80% of scheduled staff meetings,
• Attend 90% of clinical supervision sessions,
• Attend 90% of training sessions,
• Perform other duties, as assigned, in a timely and efficient manner.

• Handle difficult situations in discreet manner,
• Maintain attendance within limits of agency guidelines,
• Maintain confidentiality regarding client information.

Successful completion of a background check and drug screen are required for employment. (Due to the nature of employer's business, company policy requires that candidates having criminal background will not be considered for employment.)

Skills / Requirements
• Masters degree in social work, psychology or behavioral science
• Current state license – LMSW, LMSW-ACP or LPC
• Two years experience providing clinical services
